Campaign Georgia Tech Announces $1.5 Billion Goal

September 24, 2010 marked a momentous occasion—the public launch of Campaign Georgia Tech. Before a crowd of over 150 alumni and friends, Alfred P. West Jr., AE 1964, was recognized and honored for his remarkable leadership as Campaign Chair during the quiet phase. Despite the most challenging economic times our country has faced since the Great Depression, West, along with Vice Chairs Michael E. Tennenbaum, IE 1958, and E. Roe Stamps IV, IE 1967, successfully led Campaign Georgia Tech and built a strong foundation for the future, with current fundraising totals reaching more than $1 billion.

John BrockChairman and CEO of Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Enterprises John F. Brock III, ChE 1970, MS ChE 1971, serves as the Campaign Chair, and he is leading the reconstituted Campaign Steering Committee during the public phase of the Campaign. Upon his acceptance of the Chairmanship, Brock announced an enhanced Campaign, continuing through December 2015 with an expanded goal of $1.5 billion. This historic fundraising effort will provide the critical resources necessary for Georgia Tech to reach its greatest aspirations and realize the ambitious goals and strategies outlined by the Institute's Strategic Plan, Designing the Future.

Now, Georgia Tech is bringing the Campaign to alumni and friends across the state, region, nation, and world.
